Some good friends of ours are getting married and I was asked to construct the wedding dress. I was terrified and flattered and thought for a while...then accepted. I'm so excited to be creating such a memorable part of this wedding for her. I'll share more as I go. Right now this is about how things look around here. Inside of my head is the same story. What would you guys do if asked the same question? I only wish I knew how to sew better when I got married!
You are a brave woman! I'm not advanced or confident enough in my sewing skills to do something like this. But I hope I will be one day, and I'm looking forward to following along with you.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! Can't wait to hear and see more of your process. :)
ReplyDeleteI know how that feels. :) I've sewn four wedding dresses - two for close friends, one for my ex-husband's jerk sister (which I totally regret), and one for my beautiful sister. I learned so much from each one and look forward to two more in my future - my own (some day) and my dear cousin's. It really is quite a commitment and responsibility.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful and exciting! As you probably know, I made my wedding dress last summer, and am so proud of it! I definitely hadta pull out all the stops, though, and do better than usual! =)
ReplyDeleteMy Mom made my wedding dress when I got married. She begged not to do it but I refused to go looking at dresses. It was the best thing that she ever made for me. I hope that my daughter will be able to wear it one day!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous wedding dresses! I think it will look excellent with a cami and blazer (almost any in a light shade or pattern would do!).
