October is the last month for the farmer's market here in Wisconsin. We've been going down there, as a family, every Saturday since spring.
With coffee in hand, we set out to plan our weekend menu.
Ok, coffee plus a pastry of some sort...
Always inspired by the days finds, my husband plans meals, full of seasonal produce and lots of love...This weekend we enjoyed London broil, brussel sprouts, and roasted potatoes for dinner and a warm bowl of butternut squash soup.
I've had a busy couple of weeks with orders and things for market so hopefully next weekend you'll see a pumpkin pie! For dessert tonight, I went simple with some thumbprint cookies made with homemade strawberry jam from earlier this summer.
Fall has definitely settled in nicely and I think it is time to tuck in the bed with flannel sheets. Welcome, October.
