Have you seen this recipe on Pinterest? I thought it would be the perfect treat for guests at Ephraim's party. Not everyone prefers fondant Angry Birds...
I went ahead and just made this recipe for the party without testing it, and it turned out beautifully! The cupcake uses a banana cake recipe, filled with sweetened strawberries and crushed pineapple. I used whipped cream for the frosting then put them in the fridge for about an hour. After I made the ganache, I let it cool for about ten minutes, then carefully drizzled it on top of the whipped cream. I sprinkled on the jimmies and added the cherry! (a note about the cherries-make sure you open the jar and lay the cherries out to dry a bit on a paper towel. If you don't, the cherries will bleed red cherry juice all over your frosting.)
