Our IndependenceDay

We had a HOT holiday.  So so warm here right now! 

The parade was at ten in the morning, which made me think we could brave the heat to get some fun in.  Miss Aeris was so warm.  See how pink the baby is?  That is just from her being hot, not sunburn...We didn't end up staying for the entire thing but the kids still said that they had a good time.

It's hard to break traditions and explain why it isn't safe to be in such heat to the kids.  Speaking of, we bailed on the fireworks.  Due to the heat and traffic to and from, we thought it best to skip it.  After some discussion (and bribery) Ephraim understood that the better plan would be to stay indoors and have cheeseburgers and root beer floats.
