Getting Back on Track...

I spent some time with Lightroom today, going through and editing photos from the past couple of weeks. I've got a lot to share with you from Renegade (to come) but I just wanted to pop in with some pictures I promised for the giveaway! Click over to the other post to enter! Spring Will Come! (plus a GIVEAWAY) CLOSED

Today, is March 1st. I have been longing for spring since two days after the first snowfall back in November. Actually, it may have even been October... Sometimes, it seems as if the snow may never completely melt away!

But, March is here...which means spring has to come. And I am ready! And excited! So excited that I think we need to have a little giveaway! I wanted to make something green, and what is more green than Green Eggs and Ham! Green Eggs and Ham! (I'm hilarious once you get to know me...)

Sweetie Pie Bakery Giveaway-Felt Sushi Set

Well, here it is! I've not put my needle and thread down since before Halloween sewing up Etsy orders and finally just have been able to finish the completed set for my new pattern!


I've been dreaming of how the photo shoot would look and it turned out better than I could have imagined. I'm very pleased with the finished result!

Rather than just a sushi set, I wanted to offer a dining experience-complete with centerpiece. I think the orchid turned out lovely! I prefer sake with my sushi, but for the little ones, I thought green tea would be more appropriate ;) The teapot is embellished with a leaf detail, that you will see carried over to the floor pillows. I wanted to keep the design of this set organic and modern . I think that the traditional design of these pieces, with the whimsy of the magenta details really brings that together.
