Evening Empire Dress Pattern Review

I had a lot of yardage left from my shower curtain, and after seeing it up I thought it would make a great dress! Not wanting to look like a Flamenco dancer, I used Anna Maria Horner's Evening Empire Dress Pattern. I've been wanting this pattern for over a year!

Pattern Description:
empire waisted gown, side zipper
Pattern Sizing:
xs-xl, I made the xs
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?
yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I wish it had pockets...only because a dress with pockets is like heaven to me
Fabric Used:
quilting cotton, I should have used a much lighter fabric so it would drape better, but i was going for a trial run on the pattern with some scraps i had on hand...
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
None.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I will definitely be sewing this again as well as the other variations of this dress. I would recommend it but stress to use a very light weight fabric!
Conclusion:
This was my first time sewing a dress for myself and my second try at an invisible zipper. It was wearable on my first try, which is a good thing! I really do love this dress!

I think it's the perfect dress for summer.
