I've mentioned before how much Aeris loves Allegra. Way back when Oliver and S revealed this doll carrier in Little Things to Sew, I knew I had to grab a copy just for this project alone!
I've made a few other things from the book, and just like Lisel's patterns, they're all perfect. Honestly, I've never had a problem with the patterns from Oliver and S. They're beautiful, perfect amount of detail, and the instructions are spot on. The patterns are extremely well tested and because of this, I always recommend them to beginning sewers, even if they may seem a bit more difficult.
Anyhow, about this doll carrier...I made it for Aeris as a third birthday gift. She loves having the ability of Allegra tagging along with her everywhere, while still having two free hands for the busy lifestyle that three-year-olds have. She can prepare Allegra's lunch and take care of all of her other babies, push a stroller or a shopping cart at the same time. She can even go down the slide and swing on the bar!
Gosh, I love this little pumpkin...
I love it! Your daughter is adorable, and looks so happy with her carrier :) And her outfit is so darling, the mint green knee socks totally rock!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute carrier. These are some of my favorite pictures of your little beauty.
ReplyDeleteThe carrier turned out beautiful. I am making one of these for my daughter for Christmas. Your daughter looks so delighted.
